The trailer reaffirms many of the last reveales including a September 20 release date, a new enemy faction being introduced, and an expanded look at the game's Old Russia setting. Note: The trailer has been taken down.
Showing a snapshot of the game's story, seemingly centred around the fall of the Iron Lords and that mysterious new (or indeed, very old) faction, the trailer goes onto list a glut of new content coming with the expansion:
- New story
- New armor and weapons
- New raid
- New strike
- New zone
- New social space
- New Crucible mode and maps
- New enemy faction and bosses
Oh, and you totally see someone using that presumably Titan-themed new Super with the massive flaming axe from the promo art. Whoosh.
Finally, it shows off a new black variant of the infamous Gjallarhorn heavy weapon, the Iron Gjallarhorn, which will be available to those who pre-order and finish an exclusive quest:
Rise of Iron will be formally revealed in a Bungie livestream today at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST - let's hope they have more to show.
